Sean Smith, MBA & CPA, is a broker with Foldetta Commercial, a full-service commercial real estate company based in The Woodlands, Texas. Founded in 2003, the company provides comprehensive commercial real estate services in The Woodlands, Conroe, and Houston markets. Sean’s primary areas of focus are (i) owner & tenant representation, (ii) commercial developments including service/flex and multi-use projects, and (iii) corporate advisory services.
Before Foldetta, Sean spent 14 years at Chicago Bridge & Iron NV (CB&I). For 10 years, he consolidated the global Real Estate roles, functions, and responsibilities into a single corporate operating unit. As Director of Global Assets/ Real Estate, his group was responsible for corporate budgeting, strategic portfolio management, transaction negotiations, leases, build-to-suits, sale-leasebacks, 1031 Exchanges, property acquisitions/dispositions, lease expense audits, and financial analysis. Sean’s group was responsible for preparing & presenting all real estate transactions to the operating business and executive leadership.
In addition to Director of Global Real Estate, Sean’s roles included Corporate Assistant Treasurer and Business Unit Director of Finance & Business Administration. Sean began his career at Arthur Andersen & Company in the audit division, working in California, Washington, and Puerto Rico.
Sean received his Undergraduate degree in Finance at Santa Clara University and his Master of Business degree from Texas A&M. He is a Texas CPA and a graduate of Leadership Montgomery County (2017).
Sean has lived in The Woodlands area since 2001 with his wife Laury. They have two boys, Jacob and Matthew. He is a board member of his son’s football & baseball booster clubs, and when not working, he is with his family watching youth sports.
